Biography

Kristin joins Houtchens, Greenfield & Sedlak, LLC, after practicing in Illinois, as a partner at the law firm of Bolen, Robinsons & Ellis, LLP. Kristin worked with Bolen Robinson & Ellis, LLP, for 7 ˝ years and prior to that she served as a prosecutor at the Macon County States Attorney’s office in the Juvenile Department handling delinquency and abuse and neglect cases.

While working in private practice Kristin has distinguished herself from her peers by compassionately yet aggressively representing her clients in some of the most difficult life situations as a results-driven attorney. Kristin diligently works to fervently represent her clients both in and out of the courtroom. Kristin openly admits the Courtroom is one of her favorite places to be. However, she is dedicated to settling as many cases out of the courtroom as possible, as she acknowledges most clients gain more out of the courtroom than in. In 2010, Kristin participated and completed the mediation training program at Northwestern University, in Chicago, Illinois. Since 2010, Kristin has enjoyed working as a mediator and successfully settled many cases. In addition to domestic relations, Kristin has dedicated herself to practicing adoption and reproductive law. In her adoption practice, Kristin uses a unique technique and approach working as much with birth parents as adoptive parents. In 2013, Kristin’s practice expanded to include reproductive law, specifically surrogacy. Kristin is deeply dedicated to helping create families in an ethical and respectful manner.

Since joining Houtchens, Greenfield and Sedlak, Kristin’s practice has included domestic relations law, adoption law, landlord/tenant issues, appellate practices, estate planning and mediation.
