A fourth-generation Houtchens lawyer, Brandon B. Houtchens draws on the experience of his predecessors and partners to serve his clients.  Brandon’s practice is defined by its versatility and practicality.  He strives to help his clients find the most effective and efficient solutions to the legal issues and challenges they face.  He seeks to satisfy his clients by communicating promptly and effectively, by developing appropriate goals and strategies, and by pursuing those goals in a professional manner.  Brandon’s satisfied clients appreciate his responsiveness and attitude.

Most of Brandon’s clients are individuals and local business, although he has successfully litigated cases on behalf of and advised international corporations. A significant portion of Brandon’s practice is devoted to civil litigation and appeals, which includes tort litigation (plaintiff’s personal injury and insurance defense), real estate litigation, landlord/tenant litigation, and commercial litigation.  Brandon’s litigation practice helps him to provide pertinent advice to businesses and individuals on a variety of subjects, including employment and contractual matters. 

Brandon has also represented several professionals in the context of acquisitions and/or sales of LLCs, partnerships, and professional corporations.  Brandon prepares wills, powers of attorney, and living wills, and he represents personal representatives throughout the process of probate. 

When away from the office, Brandon is engaged in a number of community organizations.  In 2010, Brandon was appointed by the Weld County Commissioners to serve as a member of the North Colorado Medical Center Board of Trustees. He also serves on the board of directors for NCMC, Inc., and the board of directors for the Greeley Transitional House.
